The book gives tips on getting there cheaply, accommodation, getting around, shopping, visitor attractions and communications. He also provides 'Five Free Things to Do' in a selection of cities around the UK. Though not my favourite section of the book. In general most state funded museums are free in Britain. You can find free museums / Visitor Centres all around the UK. Call in at the local Tourism Office and they will give you lots of suggestions for free things to do, including leaflets with walks in the vicinity. I'm sure though, that other readers may find these sections, the most useful.
The book does include information on cheap accommodation with some good ideas £25 rooms in London for example. You can find some more on this site of course, but not as an easily downloadable book. It even offers advice on obtaining the almost mythical £1 rail and bus tickets. The section on how to shop Duty Free and reclaiming the tax on goods purchased by citizens from outside the European Union was new to me for obvious reasons. The explanations of the procedures would save much time and money. '101 Budget Britain Travel Tips' can save you its cover price by applying just on or two of its 101 tips, making it very good value for money.
The book is available for Download at $9.99 for a limited time.
